Aiyedatiwa nominates Ajulo, Razaq Obe as commissioners, appoints three aides

Lucky Aiyedatiwa, governor of Ondo, has  forwarded the names of six commissioner nominees to the state house of assembly for screening and confirmation.

The nominees are Omowumi Isaac; Olukayode Ajulo; Razaq Obe; Emmanuel Igbasan, Akinwumi Sowore; and Oseni Oyeniyi.

According to a statement by Ebenezer Adeniyan, chief press secretary to the governor, Aiyedatiwa also appointed three special advisers.

The appointees are Olugbenga Omole as special adviser on information and strategy; Olamide Falana as special adviser on gender affairs; and Alabi Johnson as special adviser on energy.

Some of the commissioner nominees were part of the cabinet of the late Rotimi Akeredolu, former governor of the state.

Aiyedatiwa was sworn in as governor of the state on December 27, following the death of Akeredolu.

On January 24, the governor dissolved the state executive council and terminated the appointments of all senior special assistants (SSAs) and special assistants (SAs).

On the same day, the governor nominated Olayide Adelami as his deputy.

Adelami was sworn in as the deputy governor of Ondo on Thursday.
