Lucky Aiyedatiwa, governor of Ondo, says his administration will ensure that salaries and allowances of civil servants are never delayed.
The governor said this on Thursday, at the Ondo state forum of permanent secretaries (ODFPS) annual get-together and send forth, in Akure.
Aiyedatiwa said the state government will not renege on its promise to improve workers’ welfare.
He described the services of the retired permanent secretaries as exemplary, while applauding them for their dedication to the state.

The governor urged them to take good care of their health, while reassuring them that they will not be forgotten as they could be called upon to serve the state in different capacities.
Also speaking, Bunmi Alade, chair of the forum, commended the governor for his support to the forum and the entire civil service.
Alade added that the Aiyedatiwa-led administration had cleared all outstanding salaries and gratuity of pensioners.

“This annual gathering is always put together to celebrate all the permanent secretaries. That is, once in a year, we come together with our spouses and our family members to dine and wine together and give appreciation to God,” Alade said.
“And again for our members that have retired, we felt it’s worthwhile to celebrate them — after serving meritoriously — to boost their morale.”
