Rotimi Akeredolu, governor of Ondo, has been sworn in for a second term in office.
He took the oath during his inauguration which was held at the International Culture and Event Centre, Akure, on Wednesday.
He was sworn in alongside Lucky Aiyedatiwa, his running mate.
The event was attended by Godwin Obaseki, Adegboyega Oyetola, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Dapo Abiodun, and Kayode Fayemi, governors of Edo, Osun, Lagos, Ogun and Ekiti respectively.

Akeredolu was accompanied by his wife, Betty, children and grandchildren.
On October 11, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared Akeredolu as winner of the Ondo state governorship election.
Akeredolu, who ran for reelection on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), polled a total of 292,830 votes.

The governor defeated Eyitayo Jegede, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, who secured 195,791 votes.
Agboola Ajayi, candidate of the Zenith Labour Party (ZLP), came third with 69,217 votes.
