Daniel Akpeyi – Kaizer Chiefs

Bidvest Wits created enough chances but Akpeyi had a game of his life, making a plethora of saves before injury forced him off.

Godswill Ekpolo – Haecken

Defensively sound throughout the game. He made three excellent clearances.

Brian Idowu – Khimki

A fine display from the defender against Volvograd who was peerless.

Kenneth Omeruo – Leganes

He impressed in the friendly against Eibar. Solid defensively and also opened the scoring with a great header.

Tyrone Ebuehi – Twente

The wing-back had a game for Twente. Knew how to get into the right positions.

Samson Tijani – TSV Hartberg

Made things tick in midfield for TSV Hartberg who humiliated Dornbirner 7-0.

Bukayo Saka – Arsenal

He impressed again with his passing range and vision, and assisted Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang’s goal.

Eberechi Eze – Crystal Palace

The midfielder had a great game. He made some dangerous runs and provided great crosses too.

Samuel Chukwueze – Villarreal

Showed great physical strength and demonstrated an excellent work ethic. Scored a goal with an excellent strike.

Josh Maja – Bordeaux

Made the difference with a first half goal as Bordeaux humbled Angers 2-0.

Victor Osimhen – Napoli

The former Wolfsburg and Lille striker only played in the first half, but he did more than enough damage, scoring trice in the win against L’Aquila.
