“Governor Emmanuel has shown ability to align with great leaders of thought and history who initiated programmes for the transformation of their societies through vision, character and integrity in leadership,” he said

The commissioner commended Vincent Anigbogu, an internationally acclaimed mentor and teacher, together with the members of his management team for collaborating with the state government to train civil servants.

Inoka urged the participants to key into the transformation vision of the state government for self rediscovery of latent potentials, personal self actualization and for public gains.

“As Civil Servants you must cultivate paradigm shifts from unproductive ways of doing things, to becoming vanguards of change and revolution in the state,” he said.

“This will create impact for societal development, self improvement and as well enhance effective service delivery for a better Akwa Ibom State.”

Valerie Obot, permanent secretary, ministry of labour and manpower planning, expressed gratitude to the governor for being worker’s friendly and for approvals for training and retraining of workers in the State for greater service productivity.

She challenged participants to put to practical use the lessons learnt during the retreat for the needed change to occur in the state’s workforce.
