Akwa Ibom seeks collaboration with federal agencies on effective service delivery

The Akwa Ibom government has called for collaboration with federal government establishments operating in the state on ensuring effective service delivery to residents.

Ini Ememobong, commissioner for information and strategy, spoke over the weekend during the 2021 end-of-the-year get-together/almanac launch/awards presentation organised by the Association of Heads of Federal Establishments (AHFE).

The event held at the multi-purpose hall of the federal secretariat, Olusegun Obasanjo way in Uyo, the Akwa Ibom capital.

Ememobong, represented by Grace Akpan, director of public relations in the ministry of information and strategy, said collaboration between state and federal agencies will ensure smooth operations which will also benefit citizens.

“The success of government is measured by the collective success of all component units delivering on their different mandates,” he said.

While speaking on the importance of the state strategic information management committee (SSIMC), he urged government officials to take advantage of the platform which shares information and views by federal government establishments, security agencies and paramilitary organisations.

On his part, Enoh Uyoh, AHFE chairman, who is the director of the National Orientation Agency (NOA) in Akwa Ibom, said his association is working on setting up a car wash outfit in the federal secretariat in 2022.
