Alake of Egbaland: If Nigeria fails, so will the entire black race

Adedotun Gbadebo, the Alake of Egbaland, says the success of the black race is dependent on Nigeria’s ability to overcome its challenges of division.

The monarch asked Nigerians to put aside their tribal, political, or religious differences to collaborate towards developing the country.

Gbadebo spoke on Saturday when the national leadership of the National Road Transport Employers Association of Nigeria (RTEAN) visited his palace in Abeokuta, Ogun state capital.

The traditional ruler frowned against the call for Nigeria to disintegrate, saying: “If Nigeria failed as a country, the entire black race had failed.”

He urged Nigerians to see one another as “people of the same blood”.

“Nigerians, wherever we go, we must see ourselves as nationals of the same country, people of the same blood,” he said.

“We must work together to make Nigeria, Nigeria must not fail; if Nigeria fails, the black race has failed and may it never happened.”

The monarch commended the national president of the transport employers association for revolutionising the nation’s road transport sector.

  1. You are a liar sir because God created things has fronts and back. Nigeria’s success is totally a failure and the Nigerian divide is their success, so Nigeria must and have divided like it or lunp it.
