Flying Eagles goalkeeper, Dele Alampasu, is delighted that his first professional contract abroad is with “a good European team”.
Alampasu signed a four-year contract with Portuguese Primeira Liga side Estoril Praia for an undisclosed fee.
The 18-year-old, who was voted as the best goalkeeper at the 2013 FIFA U-17 World Cup, is happy with the deal.
“It’s a dream to sign for a good European team, and one that has ambition,” he told sl10.ng.

“My first professional contract is for four years. I must admit that I’m so happy with the terms and conditions of the deal. The club officials received me well. I’m looking forward to having a good time in the city of Estoril.”
Alampasu has now joined several of his former Golden Eaglets team-mates – Kelechi Iheanacho, Isaac Success, Chidiebere Nwakali, Chidera Ezeh, Musa Yahaya, Taiwo Awoniyi and Aliyu Abubakar – who are plying their trade outside the country.
