There will be disruption of electric power supply for five days in some parts of Lagos this week, the Eko Electricity Distribution Company (EKEDC) said on Monday.
In a statement, Godwin Idemudia, EKEDC spokesman, said the outage was to enable the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) address technical issues at Alagbon transmission station in the state.
He said the outage, which will take place from Wednesday to Sunday, will affect areas such as Ikoyi, Victoria Island and parts of Lagos Island.
“We want to inform our esteem customers that from Wednesday, May 24 to Sunday, May 28, there will be an outage within Ikoyi, Victoria Island and parts of Lagos Island,” the statement read.

He promised that supply would be restored to the affected areas “as soon as the maintenance was successfully completed.”
