Alex Kabba, the publisher of African Abroad-USA newspaper, says the economic policies of the federal government under President Bola Tinubu will attract Nigerians in the diaspora.

Speaking with journalists in Abuja on Wednesday, Kabba said Tinubu knows what to do to turn around the nation’s economy.

“Many Nigerians are scattered all over the world, not only those in political exiles, even those in economic exiles. You will see that some of the policies of the Tinubu government will give many people the impetus to relocate back to Nigeria just like me who is planning to relocate to Nigeria,” he said.

“I know that with Nigeria in the hand of President Tinubu, the country is going to laugh.”

Kabba also dismissed corruption allegations against Tinubu, saying the president is a person with “integrity”.

“He (Tinubu) is a man of integrity. He is somebody I know as far back as 1994 when he was in the national assembly as a senator. He is a man of unblemished character. Don’t believe in all these social media mischaracterisations and character assassination,” he said.

He said Tinubu was one of the Nigerians who fought the military regime and drove them away from power.

“While many of the people who enjoyed this democracy were hiding under their mother’s bed, Tinubu was at the forefront of the NADECO movement along with some journalists. I am one of these journalists who were giving the military sleepless nights until they were driven from power,” he said.

“He (Tinubu) was the general in the field when we were fighting the military government.”
