Alex Otti, governor of Abia, has appointed Ukoha Ukoha as his chief press secretary.
Ukoha will replace Kazie Uko, former chief press secretary to the governor.
On Wednesday, the governor announced the sacking of Uko as his chief press secretary.
In a statement on Wednesday, Okey Kanu, commissioner for information and culture, said Ukoha’s appointment is part of the governor’s plan to “rejig the media ecosystem of his administration”.

The commissioner said Ukoha is a media personnel of excellence with expertise in media management and advocacy.
“Gov. Alex Otti in a bid to rejig the media ecosystem of his administration has approved the appointment of a new Chief Press Secretary and his name is Mr Ukoha Njoku Ukoha,” Kanu said.
“Mr Ukoha brings a lot of experience in advocacy and media management and of course his flair for writing to his new job.

“Gentlemen of the press, you will be working with the new Chief Press Secretary in the days ahead.”
