Alibaba, MI…No escape for celebs as fuel scarcity bites

Nigerian celebrities are certainly feeling the heat of the fuel scarcity, and a number of them have taken to social media to voice their opinion on the matter.

Atunyota Alleluya Akporobomerere, popularly known as Alibaba, was the first to share his opinion on the issue.

#WhatWillMakeMyWeekAwesome if federal government makes thursday and friday public holiday… So people can go queue to get fuel”

Also quoting a tweet by an Uber taxi driver, Ali Baba wrote “When I tweeted that “even uber dey find fuel”… Someone said ali baba is always joking. #lobatan dot com”.

The comedian has since been re-tweeting comments from fans after starting the hashtag #whatwillmakemyweekawesome.

While responding to a fan’s tweet, Ogunleye Simisola, better known as Simi, mourned her inability to get fuel.

M.I Abaga, Nigerian rapper born Jude Abaga, blamed his inability to write a song on fuel scarcity.

In a lengthy post, Joshua Martins, Nigerian singer and producer also known as JMartins, lamented the situation of things in the country.

“I’m willing to give the government time to correct things, but the government has to give me a timeline, the wait cannot be endless,” he wrote on Instagram.

“I’ve spent almost 9 times my planned budget for 3 months in 2 weeks, with no corresponding increase in income.

“If I’m expected to act like its absolutely normal and keep mum for fear of being branded anti-Buhari, or a wailer. H*ll NO!, I won’t.”

#Nofuel trended on Twitter on Tuesday, with people making various comments about the fuel scarcity situation in the country.
