Aluko makes u-turn, says ‘master fraudster’ Fayose forced him to accept peace

Temitope Aluko, former secretary of the Ekiti state chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), says the disagreement between him and Ayo Fayose, governor of Ekiti, is far from over.

Addressing journalists in Lagos on Tuesday, Aluko, who came into the limelight after exposing alleged irregularities perpetrated by the PDP in the 2014 governorship election in Ekiti, said the governor literally forced him to recant his revelations.

He described Fayose as a fraudster, and pleaded with Nigerians to forgive him for singing a different tune during his meeting with Fayose.

At the meeting which held in Lagos, Fayose had referred to Aluko as his son and boy, saying it was time to move on from the past.

“Aluko remains my boy, my son. I am his father; I am his brother. The past is behind us. Whatever he said in public in the past is gone. It’s time to move on,” he had said.

But Aluko said Fayose framed up the whole idea, recalling the role the governor played in the case of Afolabi Akanni, the Ekiti state house of assembly member who was rumoured dead as a ploy to make the department of state services (DSS) parade him alive.

He explained that the Ekiti PDP invited him to a meeting at Eko Hotel & Suites in Lagos, and he attended with his wife, only for Fayose to storm the place.

“It is worthy of note that my wife barged into the meeting to inform me of the presence of pressmen,” he said.

“At that point, I became enraged and decided to leave the place, but I noticed Governor Fayose rushing after me downstairs in a gestapo manner.

“My wife was already fidgeting and almost crying and suddenly I could not find her around me. I immediately realised that I need to oblige Governor Fayose’s instruction of the facing the press because of the safety of my family.

“Like I earlier said before Nigerians and the whole world, manipulation characterised the 2014 governorship election in Ekiti state, I still stand by all I said.

“You will also notice the several counter-allegations by Fayose and his media team that none of them has refuted all I have said, rather the attack has been on the messenger and not the message. I will like to apologise to all Nigerians that perhaps, accepting the invitation was a tactical error.

“I will also like you to know that I am dealing with a master fraudster who is always full of mischief. You will all recollect how he announced the purported death of Hon. Afolabi Akanni, and the purported arrest of four members of the Ekiti state house of assembly who later resurfaced.”

  1. Nigerians are watching if care is not taken and adequate security provided for Dr Aluko the next will be he is dead the way things are going right now as many know fayose as master of fraudsters and manipulator who if not having his way may do something drastic as he possess the power as he use the same against the ekiti former lawmakers.

  2. When the news of reconciliation came out I knew it that something is fishing. Both Dr Aluko and Governor Ayo Fayose lack integrity and their of questionable characters. It was because Dr. Aluko is unstable man, it was very easy to fall into Governor Ayo Fayose’s antics. I think it is high time Ekiti people should know that they have entered “One Chance” and they needed serious prayers to get out of it.

    1. He said he was invited by Ekiti PDP and Fayose surfaced later into the meeting. I think he has the right to attend the meeting called by his party because he is still PDP.

  3. Are you a learner? Guy you lack credibility, you cannot be used as a witness in any case in court.
