Super Eagles assistant coach, Daniel Amokachi, is satisfied with the outcome of the match against South Africa saying “it is a fair result”.
Ahmed Musa opened the scoring at the Mbombela Stadium for the Super Eagles, but Bongani Zungu grabbed a late equaliser for the hosts.
And Amokachi is pleased with the result away from home.
“It is fair, coming away from home after losing to Uganda. Ninety-eight percent of the players are having their first, second or third caps,” he said.

“It is a fair result but when you are winning and one goal up, conceding is not good.”
Nigeria had lost 1-0 to Uganda on Wednesday at the Akwa Ibom Stadium in captain Vincent Enyeama’s 100 cap for the Super Eagles.
The Lille of France goalkeeper was unavailable for Sunday’s game in Nelspruit, but Ahmed Musa was a worthy replacement as the team’s captain.

His effort is not lost on Amokachi.
“He is a good player, we all saw the experienced and world class player that he is. You can see the goal he scored was reminiscent to the one he scored against Argentina in the World Cup. It is brilliant,” he said.
“We needed that experience because we have a lot of young players and new players coming into the team and I’m sure he contributed in that way.
“He is the most capped player in the team after Vincent left. I definitely think he is a well-deserved captain for the day, capping it with a brilliant goal.”
