Amotekun arrests five ‘robbery suspects’, kills three in Osun

The Osun command of the south-west security outfit, code-named Amotekun, says it has arrested five suspected armed robbers in Osogbo, the state capital.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, Bashiru Adewinmbi, the state commander of Amotekun, said three suspects were also killed by members of the security outfit.

“We had achieved this feat in a joint operation with the Nigeria police and local hunters,” NAN quoted Adewinmbi as saying.

He said the corps at about 3 a.m. on Monday, foiled an armed robbery attack on Dangote Integrated Steel Rolling Mills in the Osogbo metropolis and arrested the suspects.
