Andrew Banigo, an indigene of Bonny LGA of Rivers state, has been appointed as the community manager for Global Shapers in Nigeria.
Global Shapers, an initiative of the World Economic Forum (WEF), is a network of young changemakers dedicated to addressing global challenges and creating meaningful impact within their communities.
In a letter by Natalie Pierce, head of the Global Shapers community, it was stated that Banigo’s leadership position will begin on July 1, 2023 and end on June 30 2024, with the possibility of an extension.
Banigo is an alumni of the University of Port Harcourt.

He will spearhead initiatives that will foster collaboration, drive innovation, and cultivate leadership skills among 17 hubs and community members in the Nigerian region.
Banigo has served in various roles, including as curator of the Port Harcourt hub.
He is presently an advocacy coordinator at the Foundation for Partnership Initiatives in the Niger Delta (PIND), and the project coordinator of NDLink, a digital platform for development of stakeholders in the delta.
