Doctors, anaesthetists and nurses at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH), Idi-Araba, have delivered another COVID-19 patient of a baby.
This comes two weeks after another COVID-19 patient was delivered of a baby at the same medical facility.
The baby boy, which weighed 2.6kg at birth, was delivered via cesarean section on May 9, 2020.
Wasiu Adeyemo, chairman of the medical advisory committee (CMAC) of LUTH, disclosed the development in a statement issued on Tuesday.

“The 37-year-old mother was delivered of the baby via a Caesarean section on Saturday, 9th May, 2020. The mother and baby are doing well,” he said.
“We celebrate our committed frontline staff for this achievement.”
On April 27, 2020, a 40-year-old COVID-19 patient had been delivered of a baby girl at LUTH.
