Former Arsenal “invincible” forward Jose Antonio Reyes has died in a car crash.
Reyes, who played for Segunda Division side Extremadura last season, died after an accident in Seville on Saturday.
Former club Sevilla announced his demise on their official Twitter handle on Saturday.
“We couldn’t be confirming worse news. Beloved Sevilla star José Antonio Reyes has died in a traffic collision. Rest in peace.”

The former Spain international’s cousins Jonathan Reyes and Manuel Calderon were also killed in the collision.
The 35-year-old Spaniard made his first appearance for Sevilla at the age of 16, making him the youngest player to have debuted for the La Liga side.
He spent three years with Arsenal where he moved to in January 2004 and went on to win the league as part of the club’s “Invincible” season.
He was the first Spanish football player to have won the English Premier League title with Arsenal.

He had a stint with Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid, Espanyol, Cordoba before he made a return to Sevilla.
He won the Europa League title twice with Athletico Madrid and thrice with Sevilla, highest won by any player.
He had 21 caps for Spain national team.
