The All Progressives Congress (APC) has released new dates for its primary elections, following an emergency meeting of its leadership.
By the new schedule, the national convention for the presidential primary election, which was originally slated for December 8, will now hold on December 10.
The gubernatorial primary election holds on December 4, while the national assembly primary election holds on December 8 and 9.
The state assembly primary election will take place on December 1.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) earlier fixed December 18 as the last day for submitting names of candidates for national assembly and presidential election, and December 5 for submitting the names of candidates for gubernatorial and state house of assembly elections.
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) also announced new schedules for its primary elections last week.
The presidential primary was initially scheduled for December 6, governorship November 29 and national assembly November 22. However, Abubakar Mustapha, the party’s national organising secretary, announced that the national working committee had reviewed primaries for state houses of assembly aspirants to hold on November 29, federal house of representatives aspirants December 6, and primaries for the senate aspirants December 7.
