APC being strengthened for Tinubu’s re-election in 2027, says Ganduje

Abdullahi Ganduje, national chair of the All Progressives Congress (APC), says the ruling party is being strengthened to enable President Bola Tinubu secure a second term in office. 

Ganduje spoke on Monday at a policy roundtable event on “The Asiwaju Scorecard Series”.

The event was organised by the APC professionals forum and held at the Shehu Musa Yar’Adua Centre in Abuja.

In his remarks, the former Kano governor said the Tinubu administration is working hard to fix the numerous challenges confronting the citizenry.

He said the national working committee of the APC is restructuring the party to enable it evince the aura of a “truly grassroots progressive party”.

“We have directed our state chapters to liaise with their respective governors and other stakeholders to ensure that we have full-fledged, functional offices in every political ward to enable our members across the country to have symbolic representation in their neighbourhoods,” Ganduje said.

“I would like to reaffirm the ideals of our great party to set new standards and benchmarks in the nation’s democratic sphere and ensure the sustenance and continuation of the APC government at all levels.

“Even though it is not yet an election period, we are reinvigorating the party to ensure that, come 2027, we will retain and get new governors, as well as Mr. President, to secure another mandate to continue with his government’s policies and programmes.”

He added that the national leadership has constituted a reconciliation committee for all aggrieved members of the party.
