The All Progressive Congress (APC) has appealed the judgment of the election tribunal which affirmed the victory of Aminu Waziri Tambuwal as the governor of Sokoto state.
Bashir Jodi, a member of the APC legal team, disclosed this in Sokoto on Wednesday.
The tribunal had dismissed the petition of Ahmed Aliyu, candidate of the APC, for failing to establish alleged claims of non -compliance with the Electoral Act and the issue of over voting.
It held that the application lacked merit and constituted a waste of judicial time.
