Progressive Frontliners, a group within the All Progressives Congress (APC), says the ruling party is about to lose two national assembly seats to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The group said the PDP-led government in Taraba is working to exploit APC’s goodwill in the state.
The members of the national assembly from Taraba are a mix of PDP and APC lawmakers. At the senate, PDP has two members, while the APC has one.
In a statement on Thursday, Emmanuel Adams and John Matthias, the group’s president and secretary, said they have reports alleging “unholy alliances” between David Jimkuta, senator representing Taraba south; and Mark Useni, a house of representatives member; with the Taraba government.

“We urge both President Bola Tinubu and APC National Chairman, Alhaji Abdullahi Umar Ganduje to find out why and how the party lost both the presidential and governorship election votes in their constituencies,” they said.
“Barring any last minute changes, we may soon lose these two seats to the Peoples Democratic Party in Taraba state before the end of the year.”
The group said they would not watch PDP “swallow” APC in Taraba.
