APC: Jonathan to disqualify Buhari tomorrow

All Progress Congress Presidential Candidate, General Muhammadu Buhari returned to Nigeria onboard British Airway flight 083 after weeks of working visit to the United Kingdom at the Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport in Abuja.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has warned against any “orchestrated, last-minute disqualification of its presidential candidate, Muhammadu Buhari, in order to pave the way for an easy victory for President Goodluck Jonathan or even another postponement of the elections”.

”If it is true, as it is being widely speculated across the country, that the Jonathan administration has procured a judgement to disqualify the APC presidential candidate on Wednesday, when the federal high court in Abuja is expected to rule on the issue, then it portends a great danger for our country,” the party warned in a statement issued in Abuja on Tuesday by Lai Mohammed, its national publicity secretary.

“In addition to other reasons, the six-week postponement of the elections might have been used by those who never wanted the polls to take place in the first instance to shop for such a satanic judgement.

‘”Anyone who will disqualify a presidential candidate on the eve of an election can only have one and only one purpose for that: to trigger chaos and pandemonium across the country. Perhaps this is the reason for the deployment of troops across the country to crack down on possible protests and create confusion; then, those who orchestrated the disqualification will simply use what they expect to be angry reactions nationwide as an excuse to postpone the elections again, thus triggering a constitutional crisis, the end of which no one can predict.

“This is why we are hoping that good reason will prevail and nothing will be done, deliberately, to plunge Nigeria into crisis by the same people who have always been quick to say their political ambition is not worth the blood of any Nigerian.”

  1. These desperate PDP people can do anything. They will bribe the Judge if they need to do. Did they not bribe judges in Osun State to scuttle Aregbesola’s case? It’s sad. Anybody doing this now is trying to scatter the election and cause violence. God will keep us. Nigeria will survive

  2. Nigerians asked Jega to disqualify Buhari, but Jega asked us to go to court and we went, why complaining?.

    1. It’s the responsible thing to do if there is information that justice is about to be perverted. To state that the citizenry should have nothing to say about the process by which it is being governed is not democracy.

  3. Joe do not say Nigerians.Say :you the GEJITES!God the Almighty will one day expose and humiliate you all.You wield power today because it is in your hands. It will be in somebody’s tomorrow

  4. Why don’t we leave the court to excercise it’s constitutional function and deliver judgement on the qualification issue tomorrow?

  5. Justice must be done, fellow people don’t scream too loud when necessity demands, like cleaning up your closet shelving out those skeletons by an enemy the court is s*** let the judge be straight.this is politics and if people like malam el-rufai, tinubu, fashola, atiku who would drag Baba to court on every public or even private mess he knows never asked GMB to court cases against gej or pdp even when he never forget his skeletons.i don’t assume those around you really mean you president if all efforts don’t count today.“saviour“.
