The All Progressives Congress (APC) has described the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as paranoid for accusing it of planning to organise a fake opinion poll for Muhammadu Buhari, its presidential candidate, ahead of the February election.
Lai Mohammed, who spoke on behalf of APC, likened PDP to a punch-drunk boxer, saying it is the ruling party that has a tradition of conducting falsified opinion polls.
“The PDP is simply paranoid. When a boxer is beaten to stupour, he becomes punch-drunk and dazed. Under that situation, he can even punch the referee. That is where the PDP is now,” he said.
“The PDP that is talking about issues has been engaged in unprecedented personality attack. The PDP that is apprehensive about the result of an opinion poll has been engaged in phantom opinion polls under the aegis of NOI polls, NOI being the initials of a prominent minister under the PDP-led federal government. He who must come to equity must come with clean hands.”
