The All Progressives Congress (APC) has confirmed the appointment of Lanre Issa-Onilu, its national publicity secretary.
The motion for ratification was moved by Philip Shekwo, chairman of the party in Nasarawa state, seconded by Abdullahi Bello, his Kogi counterpart, during a north-central zonal executive committee meeting in Abuja on Friday.
Issa-Onilu was appointed the ruling party’s spokesman. He took over from Yekini Nabena, deputy national publicity secretary of the party, who performed in acting capacity after the resignation of Bolaji Abdulahi, the then spokesman.
He is a graduate of mass communication from the University of Lagos and has a master’s degree from West Virginia University, U.S.

He was an assistant editor of Sunday ThisDay. Before he joined ThisDay, he was news editor at the Comet Newspapers.
Issa-Onilu is a corporate member of the International Communications Conference (ICC) at the Baruch College State university of New York, US. He is also an associate member of the Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria (APCON) and an associate member of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA).
