APC releases timetable for Anambra guber primary, pegs nomination form at N50m

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has released its timetable of activities from the sale of nomination forms for the Anambra governorship election up till the period of the poll.

In a notice on Monday, Sulaiman Argungu, APC national organising secretary, said the party fixed its expression of interest and nomination form at N50 million.

Argungu said the party would commence the sale of nomination forms on February 10, and February 26 is the deadline for hopefuls to submit the forms with other accompanying documents.

The organising secretary said March 7 and 8 are the dates the hopefuls would be screened.

Congress to elect delegates and the primary election to decide who would be the party’s flag bearer would hold on April 2 and 5 respectively, he said.

Argungu said the party would commence its campaign on June 11.

“Female aspirants and persons with disabilities (PWD) aspirants are to purchase the expression of interest form while the nomination form is free,” he said.

“Youth ages 25 to 40 are to
purchase the expression of interest form with 50% discount on the nomination form.”

Obiora Okonkwo, chairman of the United Nigeria Airlines, has declared his intention to seek the party’s governorship ticket.
