The All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced the death of Raif Adeniji, the party’s director of administration at its national secretariat, Abuja.
Felix Morka, APC national publicity secretary, said in a statement issued in Abuja on Thursday that Adeniji, a native of Ife central LGA of Osun state, died recently.
He previously served as an assistant registrar at the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife, and was later elected as the chairman of Ife LGA on the platform of APC.
The late Adeniji was appointed as the director of administration at the APC national secretariat and coordinated the day-to-day operations of the party.

Morka described him as a grassroots politician and tireless campaigner for the Alliance for Democracy (AD) and later the APC.
“He was an important contributor to our electoral successes in Osun state and at the national level,” the statement reads.
“Dr Adeniji will be remembered for his personable qualities, optimistic outlook and pragmatic attitude to work.”

The APC spokesperson said the party’s national secretariat would remain closed until April 14, in honour of the late director.
“We extend our deepest condolences to his immediate family, the party’s national secretariat staff, the good people of Osun state, and the entire APC family, over this devastating loss,” he added.
“We pray Almighty Allah to grant the late Adeniji Jannatul Firdaus.”
