Abdullahi Ganduje, national chair of the All Progressives Congress (APC), says Osun and Oyo states are targets for his party to win in their respective governorship elections.
Ganduje spoke on Sunday in Akure, Ondo state, after the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared Lucky Aiyedatiwa, incumbent governor and APC candidate, winner of the election.
Aiyedatiwa won the election in all 18 LGAs of Ondo with 366,781 votes to defeat his closest rival, Agboola Ajayi of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who polled 117,845 votes.
Nejo Adeyemi, candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), came a distant third with 4,138 votes.

The APC national chair said his party is seeking to establish a “political homogeneity” in the south-west geo-political zone.
“Our next target now is this geo-political zone. The south-west geo-political zone. You know we are good at getting the target,” he said as he was flanked by governor Babagana Zulum of Borno and Hope Uzodimma of Imo among others.
“We will do all that is possible to bring them into the fold.”
