APGA releases timetable for Anambra guber primary, pegs nomination form at N30m

The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has released its timetable of activities, including primaries and the sale of nomination forms for the Anambra governorship election.

In a notice on Thursday, Ifeanyi Mbaeri, APGA national organising secretary, said the party pegged its expression of interest and nomination form at N30 million.

Mbaeri said the party would commence the sale of nomination forms on February 28.

He said March 20 is the deadline for submission of forms with other accompanying documents.

He added that the congress to elect delegates and the primary election to decide who would be the party’s flag bearer would be held on March 8 and April 5, respectively.

The party also approved the sale of the nomination form to female aspirants and physically challenged persons at a discounted rate of five percent.

The governorship election in Anambra has been slated for November 8 by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Chukwuma Soludo, governor of the state, is believed to be contesting for re-election; however, he has yet to make a formal declaration.
