The United Kingdom has announced the opening of the 2024/2025 Chevening Scholarship for interested applicants across eligible countries.
The Scholarship is the UK government’s international programme aimed at developing global leaders.
They are funded by the Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Office (FCDO) alongside partner organisations.
The scholarship offers financial support for individuals to study for a master’s degree at any UK university.

It covers tuition, travel, a monthly stipend, plus more.
Every year, over 100 Nigerian students benefit from the scholarship for postgraduate and PhD degrees.
The scheme, it is believed, has impacted over 2500 alumni in Nigeria since its inception.

On Tuesday, Chevening Scholarship called on interested candidates from over 170 countries to apply for its 2024/25 run.
To be eligible for a Chevening scholarship, an applicant must be a citizen of a Chevening-eligible country or territory and return to their country of citizenship for a minimum of two years after their award has ended.
Applicant must possess an undergraduate degree and all the requirements for admission to a postgraduate programme at a UK university at the time of submission.
Application for Chevening’s 2024 scholarship will close by November 5.

Since 1983, over 50,000 professionals across the globe have studied in the UK through the programme, including about 1,500 Nigerians.
