African Development Bank (AfDB) says it is looking to recruit qualified persons for 16 roles in the organisation. 

The pan-African bank said applicants must be a national of one of its member countries, including Nigeria. 

It said the vacancies are based in several countries, including South Africa, Madagascar, Cote D’Ivoire, Kenya, the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and Morocco.

The bank added that it would not accept candidates with dual nationality.

Therefore, it said candidates were required to declare the nationality “you would like to be considered by the Bank throughout your career if hired”.

“Please upload supporting Government issued IDs such as passport, National Identity Card or Certificate,” AfDB said.

It said the vacant positions include chief conference and events management officer; lead partnership and coordination; driver; chief agricultural economist; statistician; division manager knowledge management, outreach and capacity development; senior energy investment specialist and chief infrastructure investment officer.

Others are administrative assistant; division manager, market and sovereign risk; receptionist; principal regional communication officer; vice-president, technology and corporate services (TCVP); human resource assistant; division manager programme development and director, infrastructure, cities and urban development. 

“Applicants who fully meet the bank’s requirements and are considered for further assessment will be contacted. Applicants should submit a concise Curriculum Vitae (CV) and any additional documents that may be stated as required. The President of the African Development Bank reserves the right to appoint a candidate at a lower level. The African Development Bank is an equal opportunities employer,” it said. 

It also encouraged female candidates to apply at http://www.afdb.org.

AfDB said, “it does not ask for payments of any kind from applicants throughout the recruitment process (job application, CV review, interview meeting, and final processing of applications)”.

The bank added that “it does not request information on applicants’ bank accounts”.
