Rauf Aregbesola, governor of Osun state, says David in the Bible functioned as both a governmental and spiritual head of Israel.
He said this on Twitter while responding to a question.
The governor had asked the people of Osun to pray and fast for the state as well as Nigeria.
One Wale Gates had asked if Aregbesola had become a spiritual leader.

“I urge every son and daughter in the state of Osun to observe a day of fasting and prayer tomorrow,” the governor wrote, to which the Twitter user replied, “Because why? Are you a spiritual leader now? How about we urge you to do your job and leave “Awe and Adura” calls for Alfa and Wolis?”
