Aribo, Balogun win Scottish Premiership title with Rangers

Joe Aribo and Leon Balogun, Super Eagles duo, have won the Scottish Premiership title with Rangers FC.

The league win, the first for Rangers since 2011, ended Celtic’s hopes of getting a 10th successive title.

Gerrard’s side had defeated St Mirren 3-0 on Saturday to move 21 points clear at the summit.

It is the former Liverpool legend’s first trophy as Rangers manager since taking over in 2018.

Rangers have 28 league victories from 32 games this season.

They are the second-most successful club in world football in terms of trophies, behind only Al Ahly, the Egyptian club.

The club also has a domestic league joint world record which is shared with rivals Celtic.

Rangers have won the Scottish Cup 33 times, the League Cup a record 27 times, and the domestic treble on seven occasions.
