Arik Air has donated some relief items to Malkohi IDP Camp in Yola, Adamawa state, to help the displaced people enjoy the Christmas season.
The items donated include bags of rice and beans, cartons of Indomie noodles, bedsheets, tins of Peak milk and Milo, clothing items, mosquito nets.
Lawal Waida, the camp chairman, Fatima Hassan, camp women leader, Peter Paul, camp manager and Adam Agalade, camp youth leader were on ground to receive the items on behalf of the camp on Sunday.
The items were presented on behalf of the airline by Andrew Odion, head marketing Central West Africa (CWA), Bako Abubakar, Yola station manager and some other staff in Yola.

Commenting on the airline’s gesture, Fatima Hassan thanked the airline for deeming it fit to touch lives despite the challenging situation in the country.
Also in showing his appreciation, Peter Paul, the camp manager implored the Arik Air team to extend their appreciation to the management of the airline.
He said: “We pray for the prosperity of the airline for it to succeed and continue to soar higher. We hope other airlines in Nigeria will emulate your good works.”

He promised that the items will be judiciously used for the benefits of all the displaced persons.
