The Gombe state police command on Monday said a gang of armed robbery suspects killed a lecturer and a Cameroonian at Kashere junction on the Gombe-Kumo road around 11: 45pm on Sunday.
Ahmed Usman, the command’s spokesman, disclosed this in a statement issued on Monday.
The statement identified the lecturer as Sulaiman Umar of the Department of Arabic Studies, Federal University, Kashere, and the Cameroonian as Zainab Mahmuda.
It added that the suspects were about eight in number, saying investigation into the incident had commenced.
