Army pulls out 15 retired artillery corps generals

The Nigerian Army has formally pulled out 15 retired generals from the artillery corps.

The artillery corps delivers heavy firepower support to allied forces positioned at the front lines on the battlefield.

The generals were honoured during a pulling-out parade on Saturday at the Nigerian Army School of Artillery (NASA) in Kachia, Kaduna state.

The retirees included 11 major generals and four brigadier generals.

Speaking on behalf of the retired officers, James Myam reflected on their long military careers and expressed fulfillment and gratitude.

Myam, a retired major general, noted that his journey began as an officer cadet at the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA).

He urged officers still in service to remain loyal to the constitution and the democratically elected government while maintaining vigilance and security consciousness.

Myam also extended his appreciation to President Bola Tinubu for the opportunity to serve and thanked Taoreed Lagbaja, chief of army staff (COAS), for his leadership.
