Multi-award winning crooner of bed of stone Bukola Elemide, popularly known as Asa, has been selected to lead performers at The Future Awards Africa (TFAA) 2014.
The event, scheduled for December 7, is expected to have the Paris-born Nigerian act lead a great group of performers, including Yemi Alade, and Iyanya.
Asa, who has been described by Cable News Network (CNN) as “an African pop legend in the making”, recently released her third studio album, ‘Bed of Stone’, which has garnered rave reviews across the world. She will be performing songs from it exclusively at TFAA 2014.
To grace the same event are pop culture icons Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde, Genevieve Nnaji, Banky W and Lanre Da Silva Ajayi.

Ohimai Atafo, chairman of the awards central working committee, said the icons would be driving the content of the awards through calls to action and award presentations.
Earlier, the organisers announced the four anchors for the event, which included Chocolate city artiste Ice Prince, Iyanya, Osas Ighodaro, and Ugandan Channel O VJ Flavia Tuminise.
Hosting the red carpet will be Africa’s IT girls on television Bolanle Olukanni and Zainab Balogun of EbonyLife TV, who will be joined by fashion bloggers Denola Adepetun and Zina Anumudu of StyleVitae who have defined the culture for fashion over the past year.

The Future Awards Africa 2014 will be broadcast live, prime time, on perennial award-winning TV station, Channels Television, from 7.30 to 9.30pm.
Referred to as “the Nobel Prize for Young Africans” and the “most important youth awards” by Forbes, the awards are a set of prizes given annually to celebrate and accelerate innovation, creativity and enterprise among young Africans aged 18 to 31.
