The African Securities Exchanges Association (ASEA) and the True Nigerian Experience Ltd (TNE) have announced a partnership to rank Africa’s 100 biggest corporations by market capitalisation in 2021, to be known as ‘Signature 100’.
Edoh Kossi Amenounve (pictured), ASEA president, in a statement on Wednesday, said participation in the initiative is voluntary and will be conducted at no cost to ASEA members.
He also said that TNE would reach out to them by email, encouraging them to fully support the company.
“The company is now desirous to partner with members of the African Securities Exchanges Association (ASEA) to rank Africa’s 100 biggest corporations by market capitalisation in 2021 to be known as the ‘Signature100’,” he said.

Amenounve noted that the company had collaborated with the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) to rank the country’s biggest companies by market capitalisation, known as the ‘Signature50’.
Signature Ranking, in a statement on its website, said the Signature 50 ranking is an annual publication exclusively for Nigerian companies listed on the NSE, with valuations in excess of $50 million.
According to the company, it aims “to create a sustainable and special publication like the Fortune 500, S&P 500 and Forbes Global 2000 to identify and recognize some of the biggest entities and individuals doing business in the country in terms of their size, value, profitability, and market standing”.
