Ashe, a semi-finalist at the Paris Olympics, cruised to the finish line in the third semi-final race.
The 22-year-old clocked a wind-aided 10.14 seconds as he conservatively jogged through the race while his competitors were straining their muscles.

On his part, Ojeli smashed his three-year-old personal best (PB) to clock 10.24 seconds as he won the second semi-final heat.
Ojeli achieved the feat despite being a quarter-mile specialist. He was a member of the quartet that won the 4x400m relay gold for Nigeria at the 2024 African Games and set a continental record.
