ASUU strike: Kwara to offer free transport for students schooling in the north

Kwara Kwara

The Kwara state government says it will offer free transportation for tertiary students of the state, who are schooling in the north.

In a statement on Tuesday by Mansurat Amuda-Kannike, the press secretary at the Kwara ministry of tertiary education, interested students are expected to appear for documentation on Saturday, which is same as the departure date.

ASUU recently suspended its eight months of industrial action after the court of appeal sitting in Abuja ordered the union to call off the strike.

Amuda-Kannike said the state government is providing the free ride to ease the burden on the students and their guardians.
