Former vice-president Atiku Abubakar has “rescued” 15 out of the girls which the Boko Haram insurgents abducted at Government college, Chibok, Borno State with full scholarships.
While about 276 students were abducted, about 40 of them managed to escape from captivity and they vowed not to continue their education unless they are opportune to find a safe and secure environment.
However, Atiku came to their rescue recently by offering them scholarship to the American University of Nigeria (AUN), Yola, Adamawa state, an institution he established in 2005.
Atiku, who disclosed that the philanthropic gesture was done in collaboration with other individuals, sympathised with the parents of the girls who are still in Boko Haram enclave, urging for prayers on their safe return.

“(Fifteen) of the #ChibokGirls who escaped have been admitted into AUN Academy on a scholarship,” he said on his tweeter account.
“My sincere thanks to the good spirited individuals and friends who raised funds for this worthy cause. #BringBackOurGirls.
”It is heartbreaking to see how much the Chibok parents have suffered. We must pray for the safe return of all the girls.”

Well done Atiku Abubakar Turakin Adamawa for your kind gesture by offering the escapee chibok girls scholarship with this, you have shown that you are a true father and some one who cares for the poor hope that others will emulate you.
Very good job Turakin Adamawa.
You have shown Nigerians time and time again that you are a father to all and will do everything you can to see the less privileged in the society have a meaningful life and put smiles on people’s faces.
Some may call it political moves but I will say if politics is helping the poor, giving hope to the hopeless, giving education to the less privileged and life to those who thinks all hope is gone, Then so be it and lets all play the game of politics like our statesman Atiku the Turakin Adamawa and make our country great again.
Long live Atiku and May God continue to bless him to do more for Nigerians.
