Atiku, Tinubu named in Buhari campaign team

Atiku Abubakar, who ran against Muhamamdu Buhari in the presidential primary, has been named a vice-chairman (north) of the the All Progressives Congress  presidential campaign council.

In a list released on Tuesday night, Bola Tinubu, former governor of Lagos state, was named vice-chairman (south).

After a lot of controversy, Tanimu Yakubu, former chief economic adviser to the late President Umaru Yar’Adua, will no longer head the Policy Research & Strategy directorate — a position that will now be held by Kayode Fayemi, former governor of Ekiti state.

Garba Shehu will be the director of Media & Publicity, a position temporarily held by Dele Alake, former Lagos commissioner for information and strategy.

Abdulrahman Danbazau, a retired general and former chief of army staff who was removed by President Goodluck Jonathan, will head the security directorate.
