Bakare: I’ve told Buhari he’s 15th president, I’d be 16th (video)

Tunde Bakare, serving overseer of the Latter Rain Assembly (LRA), says he has told President Muhammadu Buhari that he (Bakare) will become the 16th president of Nigeria.

Bakare said President Buhari is the 15th president or head of state of the country, suggesting that he (Bakare) will be the next president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

The fiery preacher and lawyer said he is currently building a political family from across the world, which would be deployed for future political aspirations.

Bakare had initially said in January 2018 that politics is not over for him, saying he would run for president in due course.

In an interview in Calgary Canada, obtained by TheCable, Bakare was asked to further explain his political aspirations and plans to run for president.

“As far as politics is concerned, it is not over truly; you would find out that I shifted gear in the year 2018, I did what I have never done before,” Bakare said.

“This would be the fourth or the fifth visit to the Nigerians in diaspora, letting them know that God sent them to this different to learn, that their time is at hand.

“The time is at hand when many of them would have to come back and contribute their meaningful quota; they can speak to their governments on behalf of our people.

“They can intervene in many ways. I am going around, doing that; in London, in Maryland, DC,  in Australia, went to the parliament in Australia — in Scotland, and now in Calgary, about February, I’d be in California.”

Bakare said he has informed President Buhari about his plan, just so he is not misunderstood.

“And I told Mr. President because I don’t want to be misunderstood, because these things are being aired all over the world.

“I said Mr. President, I am building a political family for future political aspirations; you’re number 15, I’d be number 16.”

He went on to say he Oby Ezekwesili belongs to his political family, stating that all members of his political family share the same values.

“I gladly announced the candidacy of Oby Ezekwesili — I am not in the same party with her, but she is a member of my political family.”
