Bala Lau commends Uba Sani over ‘improved welfare’ of Kaduna residents

Abdullahi Bala Lau, national chairman of Jamaatu Izalatil Bida wa Ikamatus Sunnah (JIBWIS), has commended Uba Sani, governor of Kaduna state.

Speaking at the annual Qur’anic recitation competition in Kinkinau in Kaduna, Bala-Lau said Uba Sani has shown he is committed to improving the lives of residents of the state through numerous initiatives.

The Kaduna governor donated money and prizes to winners of different categories at the event.

“The best two overall candidates from the male and female categories would be granted Hajj seats to participate in the 2024 Hajj exercise,” the governor said.

Sani asked the participants of the competition to integrate the teachings of the Quran into their day to day affairs.

He also urged Muslims to “embrace the Quran’s wisdom and guidance, because of the transformative power it holds in all aspects of life.”

The Kaduna governor announced that a committee has been set up to address encountered during the last Hajj exercise.

He expressed his disappointment with the “unfortunate circumstances” that were recorded during the last Hajj exercise,

Sani also said he issued a warning to individuals who approached him for a contract to feed the pilgrims, noting that anyone who cheats pilgrims would incur Allah’s wrath as the prayers of the oppressed are answered without barrier.
