Bala Mohammed, governor of Bauchi, has reappointed three sacked commissioners as his special advisers.
On Monday, the governor announced the dismissal of five commissioners from his cabinet, in a bid to “enhance effectiveness in his administration”.
The governor also appointed Isa Tilde, Abdullahi Mohammed, Bala Lukshi, Usman Shehu, Iliyasu Gital, Titus Ketkukah, Adamu Gabarin, and Mohammed Lawal, as replacements for the fired commissioners.
A statement on Tuesday by Mukhtar Gidado, the governor’s media aide, said the appointees were asked to bring their wealth of experience and expertise in their respective fields, to government.

Gidado added that the governor charged them to discharge their responsibilities with diligence, transparency, and a renewed focus in order to improve the lives of the people of Bauchi.
The newly appointed aides include Abubakar Bununu, ex-commissioner for internal security and home affairs, as special adviser on multilateral coordination and regional integration.
Others are Usman Danturaki, special adviser on labour matters and contributory pension scheme, and Simon Yalams as special adviser on technical and vocational education.
