Oladayo Amao, chief of air staff, has charged officers of Nigerian Air Force (NAF) to remain focused and vigilant in the fight against banditry in the north-west.
According to a statement by Edward Gabkwet, NAF spokesman, the air chief said this on Tuesday, while on a visit to the air component under operation Hadarin Daji (OPHD) in Zamfara state.
Amao said the current operations against bandits have continued to yield the expected outcome, hence the need to remain focused and extra-vigilant until the security situation improves.
“This is not the time for you to be complacent or assume that we have overcome the enemy. Rather, times like this call for utmost discipline, alertness and extra focus on the task ahead,” he said.
