South Africa defeated Nigeria 4-2 at the Mobolaji Johnson Stadium on Tuesday to lift the Aisha Buhari Cup.
Banyana Banyana raced in front after five minutes through a goal by Alozie Michelle.
The South Africans then doubled their lead courtesy of Motlhalo Linda’s spot kick.
In the 20th minute, Desire Oparanozie converted Asisat Oshoala’s well worked effort, but it was disallowed for offside.

The Nigerian team then pressed forward in search of a goal and left their territory unprotected.
Salgado Gabriella compounded the Falcons’ woes with another goal for South Africa as the first half ended 3-0 in favour of the Banyana Banyana.
There was an instant response at the beginning of the second half, with substitute Ikechukwu Vivian getting a goal to make the scoreline 3-1.

Another fantastic effort from Ikechukwu allowed the Super Falcons to reduce the deficit.
There was a 32-yard shot from Ogbonna Glory that almost resulted in the leveller but the opposition keeper foiled her attempt.
South Africa had the chance to put the game beyond Nigeria from the penalty spot and Makhabane Mamello stepped up to score as the game ended 4-2.
