The ninth season of Africa’s biggest reality TV show, Big Brother Africa (BBA), will begin “within a month” despite Tuesday’s fire outbreak.
The show, was previously scheduled to start on Sunday, September 7, 2014 but it was postponed after a fire outbreak, which is still being investigated.
The Big Brother house went ablaze only hours after journalists from across Africa and representatives from the participating nations flew to South Africa for the opening of the reality show.
But organisers have now said a new venue for Big Brother Africa Hot Shots has been found and the show will begin within the next month.

“Following the devastating fire on September 2, 2014 at the Big Brother house in Johannesburg, M-Net and Endemol SA have spent the last 48 hours searching both locally and internationally for a venue in which to produce Season 9 of the highly-popular Big Brother Africa reality show,” read the statement.
“After exploring all possible options, the team are delighted to announce that the show will go on as a venue has been found to get the show on air within the next month.
“A multitude of factors have had to be considered, including the complex technical requirements, logistics, technical crews and satellite link facilities which have all formed part of the challenge.
