‘Beautiful football in Nigerian league attracting fans’

Sam Pavou, the Kano state coordinator of the Federal Inland Revenue Services (FIRS), has implored the League Management Company to sustain the quality of the football in the league.

Pavou said this after the game between Kano Pillars and Rangers International, during when he handed over N150,000 to Rabin Ali whose goal was adjudged the best on Match Day 26.

He confessed to not having seen matches of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) lately but expressed delight at the turn out of fans and the competitive display by players of both teams.

Pavou, who represented chairman of FIRS Babatunde Fowler, said it was the quality and standard of the game that attracted over 20,000 fans, saying that “beautiful football often attracts fans to the stadium”.
