“The action was led by the Outcome Document of the Summit of the Heads of State and Government of the Non-Aligned Movement held in Baku, Azerbaijan on 25-26 October 2019, where the heads of state and government supported it’s establishment.”

According to Shagari, Nigeria will now establish its own chapter to oversee the programs of NAMYO which has its headquarters in Baku, capital city of Azerbaijan.

“Nigeria will now establish its own chapter to oversee the programs of NAMYO in the country and to also represent the interests of the Nigerian youth in the newly founded organization,” he said.

“Nigeria among other 60 countries that have attended the summit has played a central role in drafting of the statute and indeed debating the existence of NAMYO.
